Do not take your car to Proline Autobody in Wynberg

Terrible experience! My car had minimal damage, but they charged over R30k for repairs. The impact was so minor that only the light had a small chip, and the bonnet was slightly bent. When I got the car back, I found the window controls were no longer working. The car was hit at the front, so there was no reason for them to touch the door, which was unaffected and working fine before. I now wonder what else they tampered with.

The workmanship is poor. The side that was hit doesn’t even look properly fixed, yet they charged for "unforeseen damages" when I know the car wasn't that bad. It feels like they were just inflating the costs for insurance, but at least they should have done a decent job!

I’m extremely disappointed and question why we even pay insurance if this is what happens. I would have been better off taking my car to Sipho on the side of the road – they’d do a better job!

To make things worse, it took them 30 days to fix minor damages. When insurance checked in, they said it would take 7-10 working days. Suddenly, after that call, the car was ready in less than a week. Avoid taking your car there! I wish my car was not taken there!
