My vehicle was involved in an accident at the end of November 2022. This was a very harsh back smash to my vehicle. There was structural damage to my vehicle but did not know the extent of this. The repair was completed by Proline autobody in sandton and I took delivery of my vehicle in January 2023. Upon selling my vehicle two weeks back, my offer was retracted as the chassis on both sides at the back of my vehicle has been welded by Proline autobody. My vehicle is not roadworthy, and I cannot sell it. The repair value on my vehicle was R68 000, at that time my vehicle's valuation was R183 000. A replacement of the chassis would have not been a cheap fix and my car should have been written off. However, I am paying and driving a car that isn't roadworthy, nor is it safe as the vehicle's structural integrity is poor. I am still waiting for feedback from naked insurance as Proline Autobody indicated that my insurance approved the welding to my chassis.
