SMET!!

After being on the same plan for 6 years, they have decided to "rebrand" it by limiting it to certain hospitals and adding a R10,000 co-payment for hospitals outside their network. They are doing this at the same time as increasing premiums. The letter they sent out is very confusing (I assume intentionally) because it tells me that my plan won't exist anymore and then continues to tell me I will be paying x amount for that plan (the one that doesn't exist.)

They tell me I need to upgrade to Premium in order to receive the same benefits that I have been receiving, however on their schedule of benefits my plan is already listed under "premium." They want me to upgrade to the highest most expensive plan of the premium plans in order to have the same level of service provided on my current hospital plan.

They have responded to my query to explain in many words that they are doing this to save themselves money. This is all on top of the fact that they refused to pay for my COVID test which is supposed to be covered my PMB. So disappointed and shocked.
