Profmed - worst medical scheme ever

When I think about Profmed it definitely stood out as the worst experience for 2023. Actually it was a nightmare. Not only did they have a huge negative impact on our financial situation by not covering medical cost which we fought should have been covered, but they also had a direct impact on our health as we had to postpone scheduled medical treatment as a result of our benefits been exhausted prematurely.

Profmed's communication is very bad and always prefer to communicate via an intermediary. They are slow to settle service providers invoices but quick to refer you to the fine print indicating exclusions of cover.

We obtained quotes for orthodontist treatment as advised by Profmed, then they made "counter-offers" listing procedures which will be covered. Base on this counter-offer we proceeded with the services only to discover one year later that none of these costs were covered by Profmed.
