Pre Auth Denied CT scans - Despite having 2 allocated.
Profmed allows two CT scans a year.
My specialist ordered an Angio CT.
Profmed declined this despite use never using any of our two allocated CT this year.
They want us to do an ordinary angiogram.
The specialist motivated and yet they declined!
Medical council needs to make medical aids and hospital plans transparent for the layman to understand
I remain aggrieved.

20 Mar 2023, 12:42I was discharged after stabilization only to be readmitted two days later with severe chest pains.
Normal Angio done. Stent inserted in LAD artery also known as Widow makers artery.
I could have died whilst you investigated!
Now I am on chronic Meds for life which will cost Profmed substantially more and increased premiums to members.
Discovery I am told encourages CT angiograms then the patient can make choices of lifestyle changes or dissolving stents with lifestyle changes....
I am now stuck with metal stent fir life with medication adding strain on your liver.
I was called today by Profmed a week after the stent oblivious of the stent.
Didn't you even look at my medical clinical information and history?
Disappointed.
