UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNSETTLING EXPERIENCE AT PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLWEAR, FORDSBURG

I bought two school tunics at Professional Schoolwear. Upon purchasing the items I noticed that the material was quite stiff and hard. The sales assistant old me that the fabric would get softer upon washing it. This did not happen even after washing the dresses twice. When my husband and I went to return the tunics and ask for a refund I was told by the owner, Zubair Karani, "When you bought the dresses you knew the material was hard. There are no refunds once you walk out of the store." After a huge argument, we walked out of the store but not before I threw the dresses at him and told him he could keep them. My daughter would never be able to wear the dresses as the fabric was hard and scratchy. We ended up going to another store and buying two new dresses. Altogether I spent R1,060 on all four dresses but only ended up with two dresses. Zubair's attitude is disgusting and there is no customer service when you do business with him. Actually there is nothing Professional about him or his attitude. He should change the name of his store to Poor Quality Schoolwear. We have been supporting Professional Schoolwear for years but that ends now. I will not buy anything from the store nor do I recommend that anyone else support them. They are using sub-standard and poor quality fabric to make the school uniforms. Their policy on returns and refunds leaves much to be desired.
