Car back to owner in a worse condition safety wise than going in
Do you know Albert Nogueira from Pro-Autofix, 112 Mosaic Avenue, Silvertondale? Tel ********** 285 General Repairs and Panelbeaters. Office ********** 327. **********
I’m reporting Albert Nogueira from Pro-Autofix to everybody I can think of as from today because he ignored me for months now after he promised that he will pay for the car key that he got lost in a so-called *******. He and his son Carlos are playing games. If I talk to Carlos he says he cannot make decisions without his dad. And if I speak to his dad he tells me how sick he is. I’m also sick but I don’t use it as excuses in my job or when I owe other people things. He promised that the work to my daughter’s car will be so good that we will not know that the car was in an accident. After the car was there for many months I eventually got the car back. BUT without the original key that the car was left with him. He claims that there was a ******* at his workshop and all car keys were ******. I don’t believe that. I think he just plain lost it. He then had a key cut which couldn’t properly start the car and the alarm also couldn’t work anymore as well as the central locking. I insisted that he order a key that will work with the alarm again and he promised that as soon as his finances are better he will do that. He is ignoring me now since August. I gave him enough time now. The car was with him from April to August and each time lots of stories about why it’s not ready in time.
in the first place when I picked up the car the following was wrong: 1. Key didn’t work 2. steering wheel was fitted upside down. this is still unbelievable to me. 3. the doors didn’t seal 4. the right window and mirror rattle like crazy when driving or even when just closing the door 5. the seat was not fitted precisely as it is fitted more towards the middle almost over the handbrake 6. the window feels loose in the door and I’m worried that it might just drop into the door cover 7. the carpets were fitted very sluggish as they took out all the carpets 8. there are extra scratches and marks on the car which wasn’t there before 9. they broke the dashboard either when they took out the seats and doors or when they’ve put it back because it wasn’t damaged in the accident... 10. the paint doesn’t match the previous paint. other panel beaters told me they mix the paint to fit the original colour. 11. and many other little things that are just not making the money that I’ve paid worth this. I’ve unfortunately trusted him and paid him in full before I went to fetch the car. He and his son, Carlos Nogueira are always full of stories. At some point I’ve even asked them are you sure the car is ready as it sounds like if you don’t want me to see the car – that was in August. The car was in such a good condition when it was in the accident. The seats were almost as new but when I got it back it was very dirty and looks like if a cat was trying to sharpen his nails all over the seats. which was probably the case.
The moment this guy pay for the emergency key that I had to get when the car didn’t want to start next to the road and buy the proper key that works with the alarm system then I will let everybody know to whom I’ve sent these emails that he paid.
The emergency key cost me R2600 to get the car towed in and to get a new chip for the key fitted. Plus to get the proper key with the correct chip and to work with the central locking and alarm system it will cost a further R2800. I just feel people like this should have insurance to cover their shops against any kind of damages to client’s cars. I shouldn’t get the car back in a worse condition than what it was going to him.
So I will keep on shaming Pro-Autofix everywhere until Albert Nogueira and Carlos Nogueira comes to light with paying for the damages and expenses I had.
