Who gives this debt company our personal information? They already have my profile, including my ID number and the accounts that I am currently paying. This feels very wrong.

I just received a call from an agent at Pro Debt who mentioned that I’m being charged more on interest. I told them I would like something in writing before I agree to anything, but they cut the call. Shortly after, I received an SMS stating that I had given consent for them to pull my credit report for an “affordability assessment.” I did not give any such consent, as I was still listening to what the consultant was saying. I also have the recording of the call as proof.
