Bad service

<p> </p> <p>On Friday 24 March at about 08h00 I purchased a complete used Clutch pedal unit (Clutch pedal, bracket, master cylinder etc. ) from Pro Bro Spares in Brackenfell.</p> <p>The salesman was very helpful and informed me that he could not only sell the master cylinder but that I had to purchase the complete unit for R900. He also mentioned that the parts was in perfect working condition.</p> <p>At about 12h00 I was informed by the manager of the auto service centre installing the parts that they could not use the parts at all because it was faulty.</p> <p>At about 13h00 I returned it to the salesman and he informed that he had to charge me 25% handling for goods supp**** correctly and returned within 48 hours. This he pointed out to me the fine print on the receipt.</p> <p>He also informed me that all the clutch pedal brackets they removed from Opel Corsa in the past had the same fault (cracked) Had he told me that I would not have purchased the unit at all !!!</p> <p>I do agree that it was the correct item, but good grief, it was broken.</p> <p>How on earth can he charge handling fees for returning a faulty item. (within 5 hours) This is **************** !!!</p> <p>He also retained my original receipt and did not furnish me with a receipt for the handling fees (R225)</p> <p>Considering the above I feel that it would only be fair to refund me the handling fee as well.</p> <p>I emailed my complaint to Pro Bro Spares management but no response at all!!!</p>
