Worst moving experience ?

Worst moving company I have ever experienced. The feeling of anxiety and insecurity that the sales guy Carl left me in a despair state of tears. He bul**** me on the phone. Never kept me updated regarding my furniture. He made threats about leaving my furniture behind in Capetown if I did not pay the entire amount. I paid him half the amount of the total fee and balance was to be paid on the collection of the furniture. He then decided a day before the move to change the date of pick up and gave me a total of 2 hours to change my ticket date to a day before and have everything packed up. I had to change my tickets 2 times and had to oay an extra R1200 which he only agreed to rebate me R500 for changing the dates for their convinced. The pick up took place in the pouring rain and the guys moving my stuff broke my headboard as they did my bedroom side tables when they initially brought my stuff from Newcastle to Capetown. I reported it to Carl who refused to give me his full name but was continuously rude to me. The entire 19 hour bus trip from Capetownto Newcastle turned out to be a nightmarefor me as he continously foughtwith me to pay the balanceof the money whist traveling. I asked him to wait until I arrivedat my destinationand also I raised my concernsabout my belongings being damaged. He made promises that my furniture would arrive on certain dates but up until now I am still waiting. Whenever I called Carl who would make empty promises, leaving me hanging on the phone, pretending to be the manager, insulting me and make me cry with frustration. He yelled at me while I was traveling making statements that I don't have their money and I must pay their money immediately otherwise my furniture will be left in Capetown and I must pay storage fees. The passengers on the bus could hear his insults. I felt so helpless . The whole move from province to province can be such a daunting experience but having a moving company like this can almost make you feel suicidal. I called him on Friday 16/07/21 to let him know that the roads are open in KZN after the looting. He promised to call me back at 12pm noon and yet again that turned out to be a broken promise. He was made aware that my working belongings were in some of the boxes that was supposed to be here already preventing me from working. Carl blatantly ignored my pleads to confirm a delivery date, instead he made threats of making me wait longer and indefinitely for my furniture. He would scream at me over the phone, never return my calls and insult me. I cannot begin to describe how awful my experience with him has been and how helpless I feel. I really don't want anyone to go through what I am currently experiencing. I don't know know if I will receive my belongings at all or if it will be damaged when it eventually comes. No person from management has ever contacted me to update me and whenever I call Carl is the only abusive person I have to deal with. I have paid rent for a place that I can't move into because Proactive trucking movers has decided on my future. I'm utterly disappointed and emotional about the entire situation and I want the public to know about my experience with them so that they don't go through what I am dealing with presently

Reviewer Update
Dear Carl. You rep**** on the day I have exposed the way you have dealt with me. You were abusive and rude to me way before the looting started. Please don't use that as an excuse for the reality of how you treated me.I have received your whatsup messages shortly after sending this review of you threating to send my belongings even later if I don't remove my experience with you. I shall copy and paste your comments as I want to expose you for who you are and further more preventing you from treating other women clients the way you have treated me. Not once have you made efforts to call me and update me. It was always my Airtime used to do follow up on progression of my delivery. I will not be intimated by you. When I used this company to move my belongings I had faith that I was in good capable hands that was until I had to deal with you.
