Lost items,misplaced items

Many boxes and items were not delivered. The company states that any loss,damage should be reported within 5 days. As their truck broke down on way,the furniture and boxes 10 days late. I did mention to them that I wouldn't be able to check everything in the time allowed as I had to leave the property a day after delivery. All the stuff was stacked and packed in my garage. I have clearly stated to them of my date that I would be away from the my house and that I could not check all the stuff immediately. Their response to me was that I reported it late and I am only out there to make money from them
