I wouldn't recommend you to my worst enemy

@Pro Active Trucking & Movers (PTY) LTD booked our move date for 15Feb 2022. We had to relocate earlier and thus telephonically adapted the quote, we were telephonically informed this would be in order, just to make a note on the quote. Deposit was immediately paid...

On 31 January - didn't pitch because of this "date miscommunication"... I contacted Paul and explained the situation and frustration - he wanted to send a bakkie to collect our goods but it was raining and way to many items, would never have worked. Thus cancelled and made arrangements for an alternative company to assist on short notice...

Explained to Paul that we need the deposit urgently as we must pay the new company...needless to say he was not keen on making an effort to pay the deposit back at all.

After more than the 7 days they promised, then saying they meant 7 working days... many calls and e-mails, trying to explain to the rude stubborn, short tempered man over the phone and no move we only recieved 50% of the deposit back. No loss of income for the company but a 50% handling fee on a deposit, absolutely ridiculous.

Owner, admin, CEO whatever ... Paul - has NO commmunication skills at all. He literally cursed at me, shouted, threw the phone down in my ear, told me I can threat him all I want - we have not recieved the deposit because he has to release it (I assume he is the king of the world in their company)... and this because I confronted him for not wanting to return our deposit.

50% handling fee on a deposit? Wait, what?Questioned this too and recieved a WhatsApp "we have paid your deposit and our handling cost is 50% of the deposit. He even added the very friendly "have a great evening further, kind regards" and that was the end of it.

Is that a new convenient rule that is not stated in your terms and conditions? Sent a letter from lawyer for immediate payment and this is also being ignored. Dear Paul... All I want is an apology and the money you took from me.

Well done for making it so far pro-active... I wouldn't recommend you to my worst enemy. "Active & driven 24/7" as a slogan?
