Very bad pool cover service

I invited Dewaal, the owner of Private pools, to quote me on a cover for my pool to ensure the safety of my children.<br> I accepted the quote on 4 August 2015 and paid a deposit of R12400, 70% of the value, to Dewaal. On the quote it was specified that the assemble and installation will take 5 - 7 days.<br> <br> I was kept informed of the process up until 14 August 2015 when Dewaal disappeared. I eventually got hold of Dewaal 7 September 2015 after issuing an attorneys letter for his attention. He apologized, and I gave him a second chance of doing the job.<br> He started the job on 14 September 2015. He struggled with the installation, disappeared again, had phone problems, missed meetings, and I also gave him another chance. I finally pulled the plug on the 30th October 2015. On a Friday, after 3 weeks of absence, he pitched up 16:15 to complete the installation. When he explained that the wheels that he got was to small at 18:45, I had enough of this incompetence and lies.<br> <br> My attorney also notified me that his company has been de-registered in 2010, and he is still doing business and charging VAT on it.<br> <br> I am in a legal process with him, with the hope of recovering some of the money I paid.
