I'd like to raise a complaint against Pristine Motors. On their website as well as Auto Trader website, they advertised a car (Hyundai i30) at R149 999. I called in and spoke to a salesperson who confirmed this price and that the car was in "pristine" condition. I even queried whether I would get a discount if paid cash, and was told it would then be lower than the advertised price of R149 999. I went to view the car (over an hour drive) to their showroom and upon arrival was told that the car was actually R179 999 and it was incorrectly advertised on auto trader. It was also not in "pristine condition" and required some work to the car. The owner of Pristine Motors tried to make up stories about the salesperson not knowing the correct price on the car and was on "leave" that day I went, although the day before, he was still in the office. However, he could not justify the incorrect price on both websites. Bottom line, as the boss, he is in charge of 1. hiring competent sales people who actually know what they are doing and who not luring serious buyers under false pretenses to their show room 2. Ensuring cars advertised on their personal website AND auto trader reflects the CORRECT PRICE & CONDITION of the car.
The Owner said he can have another salesperson offer me a different car, that salesperson also had a different story as to why the price advertised was incorrect. Too much inconsistencies. I would not do business with a company / people who are dishonest.
Very disappointed with the experience.
