Dismal Service
Hi,
Prinsloo Bekker Attorney's handled the transfer of the house. The person handling the transfer was Janita Botha and the Sales Agent was Marie Olivier from Home Grown.
1. I was given a quote to which I agreed to pay, once the paperwork was prepared. I was then presented with a bill, 5 times the original quoted amount. Prinsloo Bekker refused to admit error and I was liable for a higher bill. 2. Janita misquoted the deposit amount I had to pay, I had to correct this and then made the payment 3. The transfer was set for the 14Oct-16Oct but I was told by the Sales agent the Seller didn't want to move before the 31st Oct and couldn't afford occupational rent. 4. Based on the above information, the clerical errors made by Janita ensued which ensured that the transfer got delayed for the first time to the 23 Oct 5. There was another clerical error that caused another delay, which then moved the transfer to the 27th Oct 6. Instead of lodging the paperwork immediately on the 27th Oct, Janita waited till the 28th Oct to lodge which delayed it another day
At this point I had lost all faith that I would properly be kept informed and re**** totally on the bond attorney to give me updates on my transfer.
My Bond attorney confirmed transfer on the 29th Oct 2020
7. I got a statement of account from PRINSLOO BEKKER, Janita - which made it clear that would get no refund despite them holding my 10% deposit for 2.5 months. When looking at the amounts. It was clear that the amount received for the bond amount was incorrect. When I checked with Janita, she assured me that the bank paid less than agreed to in the bond approval. I had to then involve the bond attorney, who ensured that the full agreed upon amount was paid. Only once this was done, did Janita agree to pay me the outstanding balance. 8. Since then I have queried the interest calculated on the deposit amount, to date I have not heard back from Janita.
The service was frustrating and dismal
