Manager who doesn't care about sales

As a regular shopper at the Pringle store, I never walk out empty handed, until today. After the difficult times retail has faced due to covid and the ever increasing cost of materials and logistics, you would expect your store staff would be interested in increasing their sales.

Not the Pringle Of Scotland store in Mall of Africa!

Today I stood at the empty till area for 10min waiting to pay for items I had planned to purchase, eventually I asked 1 of the 2 sales people in the store if there was a problem as I would like to pay and be on my way. Only to find out that the Manager had left the store to do some shopping of her own, leaving the store with no one to operate the till. I asked the sales person to call the Manager and ask how long she would be, apparently she didn't care that there was a paying customer waiting to contribute to her sales targets. She answered the young salesman in an uninterested tone and said she doesn't know how long she would be, maybe another 5mins or more.

I proceeded to leave the items on the counter and walk out! What pathetic service and shameful behavior from the Manager of the store in Mall of Africa. Definitely not what the Brand is supposed to stand for!
