Faulty fuel temperature sensor leads to zero service.

Took delivery of a Ford Focus on 3 Nov 2018 (without spare key or service record, all promised by Brad the sales-person). January 2019 engine light goes on. Dealership is 40km away from me, so I take vehicle to closest Ford dealer for diagnoses and repair quote. Intermittent fault on fuel temperature sensor.

Send quote to dealership. Harry ***ner I believe) claims we were rude and refuses to fix it (even though it's under CPA 6 month period). Case lodged and handed to ombudsman. Not a used vehicle dealer I would recommend, they're willing to tarnish their reputation for a R1071.86 sensor.

Good dayPieter,

We are going back on our customers that may have complained. Our records state that this was amicably resolved. Could you please verify this and if so could you change this rating to a more favourable one.

Thank you for the support .

Your records are woefully wrong:

On Friday 8 February 2019 at 3:16PM Harry, via Cazlee emailed me "We will not be taking further action" i.e. fixing the vehicle fault. I still have the email if you want to bother with this further. Still no service book, still no spare key. Paid for the sensor repair myself.

On 20 February 2019 the Motor Industry Ombudsman contacted you via phone and email to try resolve this amicably (MIOSA ref 355462/KB, case manager K Brandt.)
You didn't have the decency to respond to them, as per their communication to me dated the 29th of July 2019.

Their exact finding of Primo Executive Cars was as follows (and I have the email here as proof):
"We unfortunately did not receive the courtesy of a response. We view this as a contravention of the South African Automotive Industry Code of Conduct and it is also in contravention of Section 82(8) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA)"

I have all the emails and documentation should you want to see it.

So, I have verified it as asked, and NO I will NOT change this rating..

More than a year later I have never heard from Primo Executive Cars again. When they said ASAP, I did not expect it to mean "As Slow As Possible"..
