Wrong impressions or marketing strategy

I would really wish to know if everyone understand the immediate cover as I and also the part where they advertise that no access paid.

I lodged a claim and it was approved, but I was only told that PMD contributes R1000 because I have just joined them. To my surprise, I even paid admin and activation fee for immediate cover.

The quotations I have are not less than R10 000, so what will one ever do with R1000

Hello dolphyn,

Thank you for bringing your distress to our attention.

Prime Meridian Direct prides itself on the unprecedented lengths to which it goes to ensure that its clients fully understand the products that they purchase. A thorough review of the recorded purchase conversation conducted with you revealed that our tele-assistant did an exceptional job in explaining all of the policy features to you. During the conversation you were informed that the product that you selected was not traditional comprehensive insurance, but designed to contribute towards the cost of repairing motor accident damages to your vehicle.

We are sympathetic to your circumstances however all of our claims are assessed in accordance with the benefits selected.

Our Market Conduct Department will contact you to carefully re-explain the benefits of your policy to you as well as the outcome of your claim.

It is also important to mention that your premiums will never increase and there is never any excess to pay when you claim. All of this at a fraction of the premium usually charged for these benefits elsewhere.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.

Kind Regards,

The PMD Team

I wanted comprehensive and I was told it covers me fully with no access or premium increase, so I am still of the view that you should cover my cost as I did not query the premiums increase from R400+ to R500_+
