Worst experience with PMD and Renewit Sandton
On the 10th of March I was involved in a minor accident and the car was towed to Renewit Sandton. For PMD to validate and approve the claim took 2 weeks without any feedback. I was the one checking on them. The claim was approved and I paid the agreed excess on the 20th it was another hussle again as they were saying it has not reflected. Which was later confirmed that it was received on the same day. Then the wait began for an assessor to review or do what ever and again another 3 days gone.
Then it was Renewit Sandton’s turn to depress me , the car was scheduled for stripping on the 26th when I called for check up on the 30th car was still untouched still in line

01 Apr 2026, 21:594 weeks later I am still without my car and no tangible feedback or ETA. The agents will tell you conflicting things and when you ask to speak to a manager or assessor you are made to hold in the hope you will lose interest and drop and still you don’t speak to anyone superior.

09 Apr 2026, 12:06FYI- the feedback that I was promised has not come. When I call in I am given clashing information one person is saying Renewit is waiting for authorisation as there were unseen damages and the other is saying they are waiting for parts. The person handling my case at Renewit is Vanca and she is honestly not bothered.
Can I have feedback and the ETA. When one is paying for insurance you are paying for convenience and peace of mind which I have not received from the day the car was taken in. My worry is that between me and my husband there is 3 cars ensured with Prime so one would think I matter.
