Unreliable Insurance

I lodged a claim on the 4th of January this year explaining to PMD that my car stopped working after 25km as a result of hitting a big pothole. On the 15th of January I was called by PMD to tell me that my vehicle will be written off as the repair costs are more than 80% of the value of the car. I was asked to send a Natis document of my car in order for them to finalize the claim. I was also informed that PMD will settle the amount owed to the bank and that the remaining amount will be credited to my account because the car is comprehensively insured for retail value. I was also informed that my policy would be canceled because of the write off. On the 17th of January I was contacted by PMD to inform me that my claim had been rejected . I was very confused and unsettled because now it's a totally different story from what I heard two days prior to this. My policy states that I have ''Comprehensive Cover (Write-off and accident cover)'' which is ,''Retail Value''. When a vehicle is a write-off the insurance company will make you a settlement offer based on the car's value according to my knowledge of car insurance. My policy has been canceled , my vehicle has been deemed a write-off but PMD refuses to pay. PMD gave me the worst experience ever even though I had been a loyal client to them since 2020. I am very hurt from the treatment I have received and do not wish it to happen to anyone else. Please beware of PMD.
