Prime Meridian Direct (PMD) has to be one of the most *********, *****, useless insurance companies I've ever come across. Selling so-called \insurance\" at low premium rates and they forget to mention to a pensioner that her insurance policy has a 6 months waiting period (amongst other things they forgot to mention) which means you are not covered for 6 months and yet you pay premiums monthly. <br> <br> The reason people get insurance is to get cover for any loss or risk and that means the policy should be effective/active at the point of signing the policy thus covering you from that point. <br> <br> I've just been told that the claim that has been submitted cannot be approved as the policy has not reached the 6 months period.<br> <br> Furthermore, why let me go through the hassles of getting a police report, filling in your lengthy claim report, submitting it, and even have the assessor come through only to tell me 3 weeks later that my policy is not in effect. "
