Unbelievably slow Insurance response

My car window was broken while shopping at Spar Noordwyk on 24 May and I reported the incident to my insurance the next day. I received forms to complete on the next day and I completed and mailed them back the same friday, 27 May. it took them the whole of monday the 29th to confirm receipt of these forms. After a week they asked for the "damage photos" and i sent that immediately. I had to call after two weeks of no feedback, asking if they forgot my claim. First they said they did not receive the pictures and when I made noise, some Byron guy told me he received them and he is attending to it immediately. Last week Alicia called me to say she is my nominated assessor and she'll be validating my case and it might take close to 30 days. I HAVE CLAIMED FOR A BROKEN/SMASHED WINDOW, not a whole car. How long must i wait? And why? I have never seen such a slow insurance. I regret the day I joined them. I am so frustrated. My kids have flu now because we have been travelling in a windowless car for close to four weeks now. This is beyond pathetic!
