Terrible claim process

After being the victim of an armed ******* at home and having my vehicle ****** as well as the rest of my household belongings and being held at gunpoint as well as tied up for 3 hours, the process of getting my claim settled has been nothing short of horrifying. Almost 2 weeks after the incident and Prime Meridian is making me feel more like the ******** than the victim. No feedback on time and I am required to phone them on a daily basis to only be asked for more ridiculous information. The assessor did not even have the courtesy to call me and tell me he isn't coming.

2 days is still ridiculous considering the time that has already passed regarding this matter

 Dear Moegsien B,

Thank you for taking the time to raise your frustration with us. We value all feedback as we continuously strive to improve our services.

At PMD we pride ourselves on the integrity of our validation process which is greatly influenced by the information we have available to us. As each claim is validated on its own merits, due to the unique nature of the incident, independent assessors are required to reach the most accurate finding.

A review of the communication on the claim confirms that our staff has kept you as well informed as can be reasonably expected. Rest assured that our Claims Team is working diligently to ensure that the outcome of your claim is swiftly reached.

We are pleased to re-confirm that unlike with many other insurers, with PMD the excess payable when you claim under comprehensive cover reduces to absolute zero - and in a remarkably short period of time.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.

Kind regards,
The PMD Team

Apart from the first claims technician Tasneem, all other updates on the claim has been because of me calling to enquire about the status of the claim.

I have now dealt with an independent investigator who is now verifying that my vehicle exists which is another process that I find to be completely unnecessary considering that I have submitted all required pictures and documentation upon insuring the vehicle and not to mention that having to repeat the story of being held at my home to another investigator 2 weeks after the incident is not very comforting.

Furthermore being told that this is to verify the vehicles existence is completely ridiculous considering the multiple police statements and witness statements already provided to PMD as well as documentation stating the vehicle is financed and in my name. I fail to see the relevance of being asked who the sales agent was that sold me the car or where the last petrol station was that I filled in petrol.

I have been very compliant with this ludicrous requirements and provided all the information to the investigator and to PMD whenever it was requested however I still feel victimized by this process insinuating that the vehicle does not exist after all documents and police reports have been submitted.

At this point I am just hoping that this is the final step in me as the loyal customer being investigated will conclude and that the trauma I have had to repeat several times will have been the last time.
