Story of my life

Sad story of my life. I bought a car in 2010 that I loved dearly. I loved it and took care of it. I drove it until November 2022. I got involved in an accident November 2022 on my way to work. I followed procedures according to policy. The insurance called me to tell about the repair they found to repair the vehicle and recommended date for the booking of the vehicle of which I reminded the insurance that since that day my vehicle is breaking my heart as it's driving mode is affected and again I inquired about caretesy car so I can be able to resume my duty while the vehicle is being repaired. To my surprise of being told that I do quality for that service as per the policy I choose however I did not activate the premium for that service. I said to insurance but the person who gave me the contact when joined did not explain this as the person assured me that everything is covered, little did I know that all this time when paying the monthly premium the service is not accounted. My heart was broken and sad as the insurance told they cannot help me with a vehicle for to drive to work while my car is being repaired. I took a decision on the spot to amend my policy and add the premium, a new contract was mailed to me which the following month it deducted accordingly. Then the matter in hand became worse as I travel to work by Uber which charges me a fee R330,00 a day to go to work and come back home while awaiting for the car to repaired. For more than 3 months awaiting for the car being told they are waiting for parts,i grieved with pain day by day. Till 20 September 2023 I have been without a car incuring high cost of transportation from Uber to go work and come back home. Finally I thought now my car is coming back after being told spares has arrived and my car will be attended now. The repair tells me that due to drive mode they see on the car, they have requested from the insurance to take the car to a specialist which insurance agreed. The insurance said they will wait for the report and clearly indicated that if it is indeed accident related as the report, they will pay the cost however should it be normal wear and tear the owner will pay the cost. My heart got ripped apart again as the report came back saying the dsg transmissions was impacted by accident and they request insurance to continue to strip the transmission to be able to qoute all parts needed to be replaced and the specialist stated the amount of stripping the transmission. The insurance then responded by saying they are not accountable for the transmission as the impact was on the front right forgetting the fact that at point of accident the very same transmission was in motion and automatically changing gears. What pains me worse is that I was even willing to go half of the cost with the insurance. It almost one year I have without my car and paying R330,00 to R360,00 for transportation which is ripping apart.
