******* Insurer truly Atrocious!! Public Protector must investigate!!!

I was involved in an accident on the 20th of August which was a saturday and i reported the accident to my insurer on the same day and that following Monday. I have sent them all the documentation they required and even went above and beyond by calling them to get information on the progress of the claim as they were not courteous enough to oblige me with a call. It is now the 27th of September (a month and some days) later and i am still not close to having any kind of resolution to my claim.

I have called numerous times, spoken to Rudi and Robin, i've spoken to their manager Mr Britz and still i am given the run around. I have paid my premiums every month on time and comp**** with everything they have asked for but yet I am treated like dirt. I have learnt a lesson here, PMD are a bunch of *******, a real wolf in sheeps clothing. I WANT A RESOLUTION TO MY CLAIM IMMEDIATELY.

Hello Kubushi,
Thank you for taking the time to raise your concern with us.
Whilst we do our best not to inconvenience our policyholders by requiring them to take their vehicle for a costly and time-consuming independent pre-inspection before the commencement of cover. We are unfortunately exposed to a higher than normal degree of risk. To mitigate this risk, all information provided by clients upon submission of a claim needs to be verified and validated by independent sources as far as possible.
Our records indicate that a substantial amount of time passed whilst we waited for certain documentation from you. This unfortunately caused considerable delays and prevented us from performing those standard procedures necessary to protect our clients and ensure the validity of their claims.
Thank you so much for your subsequent cooperation as it has allowed our Claims Department to proceed with the validation of your claim, moreover your assigned claims technician will continue to keep you abreast of any new developments.
Kind Regards,
The PMD Team
