Refused to accept my claim

On the 24th of May I lodged a claim for a damaged car to the above mentioned supplier, I was asked to submit documents relating to my claim, I then submitted all the necessary documents as they required. On the 8th of June I received a call from the supplier concerned and they told me that i am one month short (March) in my premiums, which i was not aware of and so they refused to repair my car. I told them that I can pay the money that was short so that they can consider my claim, but they still refused even thou they deducted money for April, May and June.

Hello ndzomax,

We are sorry to learn of your unfortunate accident.

Unfortunately, your claim could not be entertained as a result of the fact that your policy was not in force at the time of the accident due to non-payment of premiums. Two SMSs in this regard were sent to your cellphone at the time.

Whilst we are deeply sympathetic towards your challenging personal circumstances, we are unable to be of further assistance at this juncture.

We are however, pleased to advise that cover under your policy will be re-instated in terms of your contract should uninterrupted premium payments continue from here onwards. A member of our Client Representation department will be in contact with you to explain your position herein.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours.

Kind Regards,
The PMD Team
