Refusal to pay for car to be fixed/ Charged towing fees

Good day

I requested to be towed after calling PMD, now I have been informed that I need to pay a fee of R7000.00 for that said towing. Since it was a private company. I have been paying insurance for 10+ years without ever putting in a claim, yet now I must pay for towing and also to have it towed back, after having it there for a month already without anyone communicating with me.

I did not request that a private company be used, hence I do not understand why I am now liable to towing fees.

Also, my car was fetched under the guise that it will be fixed, and now I am told that I must pay for it to be fixed myself since it's a mechanical fault. That my insurance does not cover it. And also fetch it from Witbank or costs will start incurring as of 10 days.

Can I be provided with clarity please. This is such awful customer care, not a way that a client should be treated.
