Prime Motor Thrit Policy
I took out this policy in August 2015. I don't recall ever being explained what bennefits The optional accident contribution benefit has and how much I'm covered for.Turns out I pay R75pm and cover grows by R1000pm.On 16/11/15 I claimed after a taxi caught my car in a hailstorm he didn't stop.I submitted all the documents on 17/11/15 only to keep on phoning and doing updates myself. Finally to get answer on 25/11/15 they only cover R4000,they don't include novembers premium as the d/o went off 3 days later, damage is valued at R11800.I MUST pay R7800 after they say we quarentee no excess no increases ever! They don't want to pay me the R4000 so I can fix it myself and I must wait up to 30 days for finalization meantime I'm sitting without transport cause its their company policy. When I asked for a copy of my contract and recording I must submit it in writeing and and give valid reasons why I want it!This is also going to delay the process further so what the he'll do I do????I'm deeply dissapointed and very ****ed off
We are sorry to learn of your disappointment.
A quality review of the purchase conversation revealed that our Tele-Assistant did an exceptional job in precisely explaining all the policy features and how you would be covered specifically that the product you selected was not traditional comprehensive insurance but covers total loss through write-off, fire, theft, hijacking and natural disasters. Also included in your policy was our Accident Contribution Benefits (ACB) designed to contribute towards the cost of repairing minor accidental damage. The available ACB automatically increases by R1,000 every month.
Your accident happened after you had paid just four premiums and thus the contribution towards your minor damage was R4,000. Whilst your claim forms were received just 3 working days before receiving your concern, our claims department wasted no time in processing your claim and keeping you informed with regular updates throughout.
Nonetheless, your concerns are important to us and our Client Representation Department will contact you to carefully re-explain the benefits of your policy to you, and to clarify any uncer*****ies.
Kind Regards,
