poor customer service

Claim number: CL***L. I was involved in a car accident on 08 December 2019. I lodged a claim on 09 December 2019. I am approaching the 3rd month since I lodged my claim and I have not received a decision on my claim. I am writing because I believe a delay tactic is being used on my claim because of the following reasons: I submitted all the documents that were requested by the technician when I submitted my claim. However, I have noticed a pattern of new document(s) requests being made, instead of my claim being finalized. On 11 December 2019 I submitted all the supporting documents the technician asked from me. Almost a month later on the 06 January 2020, I was asked to send an Accident report which I did. 09 January 2020 further documents where required (driver’s license copy and vehicle ownership documents) I submitted my driver’s license and vehicle ownership document was obtained from the finance house). Two months later, further document were requested. This time, cellphone records. I submitted the required affidavit that gave consent to the network provider to hand over my records to the insurer. With all the above set of events I am inclined to believe that a delay tactics is being employed. What reasonable justification is there to request documents continuously, instead of requesting all the documents at once? I have also continuously asked for an estimate of how long will it take for a claim to be finalized but the technician has failed on multiple occasions to give me an estimate. I understand that thorough investigation has to be carried out. However, this delay has been causing and continues to cause me financial hardship.

So today(24/02/2020) i get a call that the ID copy I sent was certified at a Post Office. Therefore, they cannot take it. I must send one that has been certified by the SAPS. why was this not indicated in the first place when the document was requested? PMD still maintains that its not a delaying tactic
