poor customer care

My name is Mfuneko Nduna, I was involved on a car accident on the 22 of November 2015 and on the 23rd I called PMD to lodge a claim and I also stated that my car was towed by Miracle towing company Bcz my phone was off on an event of accident, so I asked them to fetch the car and kept it on their designated storage area. 14 days later they sent me an accident investigator who compiled the report Mr J. Hall n he hand the case to Ane Du Plessis who said her process would take 30days and she asked me for unnecessary documents which I forwarded to her.<br> On the 6 of January 2016 I got a response that they are declining the claim because I was driving over speed limit (60 zone and driving at 88k/m) Using my tracking device info which I was paying for it separately n the purpose for it was to discover my car when it's stollen not being monitored. So my car spent 45 days on storage n they refuse to pay the release fee of R16 000. Now my car it's stuck on the storage, I don't hv their money n I hv to continue paying the instalments. So am in debt because of PMD so good luck if u still considering to join them, their claiming process is pathetic trust me I have experienced it. #PMDmustFall

Hello NdunaM,

Your concern has been received and noted although we were quite surprised given the information you have already been provided.

After a thorough review of your claims experience with us it was apparent that you were clearly informed that we would not be liable for towing and storage costs in the event that your claim is repudiated. In light of your admissions you are clearly aware that your claim was repudiated for speeding.

We regret that we cannot entertain claims which are contrary to public policy as well as our terms and conditions.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours.

Kind regards,
The PMD Team
