PMD REJECTS CLAIM BECAUSE MY BROTHER BUMPED A WALL AVOID A POTENTIAL HIJACK SITUATION

MY name is Michael katlego Phillip Matseke a member of prime meridian direct. I joined the insurance in 2021 and was never involved in an accident. I joined PMD because it was the best insurance at the time and even added my brother on the plan because I was happy with it. Problem starts here,my brother was involved in a car accident close to our place of residence last week Wednesday I called the insurance because the car was not drivable. When I arrived at the seen my brother explained that he was driving to a certain direction when an unknown vehicle that was driving in a different direction did a harsh u-turn and accelerated towards him while flashing lights and driving close to his bumper that's when he accelerated trying to evade those people that's when he lost control and bumped a wall. Now insurance called me and saying they are not paying because he was driving above the speed limit with 20 km per hour. my question is as a desperate person fearing for your life do u have time to check the speed you driving or u just want to guarantee your safety at the time I believe it's unfair because there was a necessity for him to drive that speed. So did PMD want my brother to stop and let them take the car and possibly put his life in danger? Than after they said they not paying they want us to pay for release fee. where they took the car themselves to be assessed. Mind you that the car was not drivable. I believe that they are ****mers. We know the level of crime in our country so I believe he saved his life and insurance money what would have happened if the vehicle was taken and not recovered would insurance not be paying more? I will not take this lying down I feel people should reconsider if the are on PMD or thinking of joining PMD. These people think we join insurance for the sake of joining and we join because we want peace of mind in time of need but they want to wash their hands that's not right.

Dear Sir /madam

I will be expecting that feedback. I have been with you for years and this current experience with you is making me think otherwise cause in the time of need I feel that you wash your hand and I believed in you . I wish that you guys would realize that these are people's lives who depended on you that you play with.

You know i am in bed busy thinking .I would like to advise people to be careful when joining PMD they will take your vehicle after an accident to where they desire for it to be assessed for a number of days than say to us as clients to pay release fee as if we asked them to take it to where they want an amount of R4300.00 is requested from me to get the car back. Why don't they just tow it to our house and the assessor cause I feel what ever they do is to benefit them and prevent a loss from but we should loose cause we nothing it's time these insurance stop paying with our heads.

Today I had to make a plain to raise money to pay PMD so they can give their colleagues/ friends where my brothers car is kept. The cruelty displayed by PMD makes me wonder if they really care about us as clients or its just a front to recruit more clients. It's nice when money is deducted from us but when time comes to deliver excuses arise

 Dear Michael M,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

We take pride in quickly approving all valid claims as take pride in the integrity of our claim validation process, and ensuring that all claims are validated in line with transparency and fairness.

During the claim's validation stage, the information supp**** by clients needs to be verified and validated by independent sources as far as possible to ensure that we have the most objective and unbiased information available to enable us to make an informed decision regarding the outcome of such a claim.

Whilst the purpose of insurance indeed is to protect one in the event of an accident, it is also true that such cover is only provided on the condition that a driver keeps to the policy terms and conditions.

Our Market Conduct Team confirms that they will contact you to provide you with comprehensive feedback regarding your claim outcome.

It will no doubt reassure you to know that PMD offers a 24-month fixed premium guarantee on all claim-free policies!

To be honest I have seen what type of insurance PMD is. It is the type of insurance that will sell u a dream and not follow through when time comes. I had to pay R4370.00 plus 1500 for towing to get the car I made means and got it. The question I want them to answer is what did they do on their side except to send a person who works for them to assess the vehicle at their convenience than reject the claim I am paying R1346.96 and R960 for two cars and I ask myself What is PMD doing for me except to write responses that mean nothing to me. I will continue to tell people on this platform so they think twice before joining you or any other insurance like you I have been with u for 3 years what can u say I gained from u compared to what you gained from me. After taking the necessary steps I believe I will be leaving them because they act like they have our best interests and they don't

I learned learned alot with my bad experience with PMD and the most important lesson I have learned is companies like PmD only have their best interest at heart nothing else but will continue to fight I will nt be treated unfairly and leave it lying down.

I have been with PMD for years and I have not claimed even once. I decided to add my brother and he was involved in an accident caused by ********s trying to take his vehicle from him so he drove fast trying to evade them but he unfortunately crashed into a wall. PMD failed to even assist us with a single cent so I did everything myself to save my brother's car. To them they don't look at people's interests they only care about money. I will not stay with an insurance that doesn't look after it's people I am leaving to check insurance that looks after the people not take advantage of us. I will make sure that end of business tomorrow I will no LONGER be a PMD CLIENT AND WILL NEVER REJOIN THEM AGAIN.
