"PMD, insurance that you take with no expectation to claim!" Bad insurance

PMD is the insurance that you take when you cannot afford insurance and only for the sake of getting rid of your financing house so that you can take the car out of the dealership.

Once you can actually afford insurance, jump ship immediately. With PMD, you are only covered for theft or hijacking really. Whether you have chosen comprehensive cover or whatever. It really doesn't matter. They will find a loophole to not pay you.

I just left them last month. They increased the excess without telling me. My preferred method of communication was through phone call yet they told me when I wanted to claim that they emailed me about it.

My excess went from R2700 to R8700. I had never claimed since joining them. Their reason for increasing the excess "You are under 30 years of age." What ******* is that??? Oh, by the way, if you get into an accident with someone you know, they won't pay, they have it in some small print. Or if you get into an accident while speeding, they will not pay too. So before you get comfortable thinking you have insurance, take that into consideration.

I knew PMD would ***** me over, I expected it. I just needed a breather from Hollard as they were charging me R1620 (2500 excess) and couldn't afford it anymore due to financial constraints at the time. I would advise anyone looking for insurance to give them a call. I claimed twice through Hollard and bad both claims approved with no fuss. They are true to their word. I wanted to go back to them but MiWay offered me a cheaper deal. I don't know if they too will ***** me over, will just have to wait and see.
