PMD Insurance current claim experience

I was involved in a car accident on the 07th of August. followed whole process to report to police and put a claim with insurance that same week. Initially they took my bmw to Ross Champion in umhlanga after i explicitly explained that the car is on a bmw motorplan and hence it would have to go to BMW repair center to be looked at. they didnt listen, they took 2 weeks to do their own internal assessment of around 120k (which was nowhere near the actual assessment of 320k), then transported the vehicle to BMW after 2 weeks where the actual assessment of 320k took place on the 23/08, i received the actual quotation as well from BMW directly. By their definition if the car repairs are 80% of the retail value then the car is a write off, hence this was a write off and i told them this. it took from the 24/08 to the 29/08 for them to officially declare it as a write off, called daily being told it was at the decision center constantly. on the 29/08 i was sked to request a natis document from bmw financial services which i did, told then that its been declared a write off payment should happen in 3 days... its 02/09/2022 now no payment is made im being told i need to sign and AOL form which i did today following which there will be further time from them to request original natis doc and settlement quote from BMW. then payment will be made, i asked for timelines and im told they cant give timelines.

few things to note here: 1. twice in the last 4 weeks I was told that my claim is delayed because someone was on leave, first it was a claims officer for 3 days on the week of the 15th and 2nd time for 2 days on the week of the 29th. this shows very poor internal processes as the right thing to do is have 1 person working on the claim and their colleague cc'd on all mails and information so that if someone goes on leave that substitute can pick up where the other left off to ensure no disruption in customer service. i don't have a car i am on foot, you cannot tell me my claim is delayed because someone is on leave. 2. I constantly had to call literally every 2 days to apply pressure to PMD as the situation was so lax and if i did not call every 2 days or so I'm certain I would not have made progress to where i am now. 3. The nice woman who caused the accident is with Outsurance, her insurance finalized everything 2 weeks ago and called me telling me they were looking for a claim number with my insurance as Outsurance wanted to give my insurance authorization to claim against them. Took them 2 weeks! My Insurance PMD we are at the end of the 4th week starting the 5th week soon and we are far from finished with the process i only received approval of the final claim this week and going forward i have not been given timelines of when payment will be made and i asked several times so it can be 3 days, it can be a week it can be 2 weeks, no one knows.
