PMD CLAIM DENIED

I insured my vehicle with Prime South Africa. The rear Windscreen got damaged. I lodged a claim for glass replacement. I completed the claim Forms and All documents were emailed to them as per their request. According to my experience, the Windscreen is not part of Motor Warranty. I partially serviced my car. They asked for the service records. I didn't claim under warranty product but under risk (Glass replacement)

Then I informed the consultant that if they are playing ***** I will have no option but withdraw my claim and reverse my premium. 2 minutes later I received confirmation letter of cancelation without explaining the reason why they want the service records.

They are a ****

I will also appreciate if Prime South Africa can provide the community with the difference between a warranty and insurance because according to my technical knowledge a Windscreen has nothing to do with vehicle service records. There is no Windscreen Servicing Center that I know of. Transparecies don't encounter normal wear and tear. I hope you will technically resolve this matter accordingly and revise your terms and conditions for Windscreen Claims. Nothing to do with engines. Regards

 Dear Mothelo M,

Thank you for raising your query with us. We value all feedback from our policyholders as we strive to offer world-class service at every interaction.

Client service is extremely important to us, we therefore appreciate the time you have taken to bring your experience to our attention.

We regret that your expectations regarding the claims process have not been met as  PMD prides itself on paying all valid claims.

Please remember that to fulfill this promise, a claim has to be registered and validated. During the claim validation and assessment process, information supp**** by clients needs to be verified to ensure that we have the most objective and unbiased information available to enable us to make an informed decision regarding the outcome of a claim.

Our Market Conduct Team will be in contact with you to provide you with comprehensive feedback regarding your matter.

We are pleased to re-confirm that unlike with many other insurers, with PMD the excess payable when you claim under comprehensive cover reduces to absolute zero - and in a remarkably short period.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavors on your behalf.

Kind regards,

The Prime Team
