Not trustworthy

Prime is proving to be *************. I informed them not to activate my insurance until i give the go ahead yet they deducted a premium without my approval. This is my first time dealing with them but already we are off on the wrong foot. I just wonder what would happen if this was a claim. Im already cancelling before I see flames

Hello Katlego M,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand how upsetting it is to see a premium deducted when you believe the policy should not yet have started.

At Prime, we take concerns about unauthorised deductions very seriously, and we are committed to clear communication as trust is central to how we do business.

We have reviewed the recorded call where you requested a change to your policy start date. During this call, you and our agent agreed that the policy would start on 25 August 2026, and updated policy documents confirming this date were sent to you for your review. The premium deducted therefore aligns with the start date agreed on the call.

Our Market Conduct team has been alerted and is already in contact with you to provide further clarity.

At Prime, we’re committed to making support accessible and convenient. Whether you prefer using the mobile app, sending an email, or making a call, we’re here to help, on your terms.

Committed to resolving your concern with care.

Kind regards,
The Prime SA Team
