Negative Review for Prime South Africa

I have always had good things to say about Prime South Africa (PMD) and have even recommended them to friends and family. In the past, I’ve given the company five-star reviews because of their efficiency and reliability. To be honest, I still appreciate how quickly Prime SA completed my claim investigation—it only took about two business days. However, my recent experience has been extremely disappointing.

The manager, Pieter, made an error on my Agreement of Loss (AOL), where he included an excess even though my policy includes a reduced-to-zero excess. Since this mistake, I have been following up daily—starting from Tuesday last week—to have it corrected. Unfortunately, Pieter has been completely unresponsive. He does not answer calls when consultants try to reach him, and he fails to provide any feedback or updates.

This lack of communication and accountability is incredibly frustrating, especially considering the financial impact of these delays on me. The settlement quote sent to the insurance is set to expire today, and if this isn’t resolved, I’ll be liable for additional interest to the bank. This situation could have been avoided with timely action from Pieter.

I had planned to insure my new car with Prime South Africa, but after this experience, I no longer feel confident in their service. The lack of feedback and responsiveness from Pieter has completely soured my opinion. Imagine calling every day and receiving no resolution—it’s not a situation I want to subject myself to again.

Reviewer Update
The manager called me and apologized for the delay, explaining that the excess was incorrectly app**** due to a human error. I appreciated the clarification and understood the situation. The manager has since updated the AOL, which I am satisfied with and have signed.
