Insurance my Ass!!

So their client turned in front of one of my drivers at an intersection, with no chance for him to take evasive action, the bike R11K bike was basically written off but we managed to fix it for him temporarily, for about R6.5K just to ensure he can earn himself and his family a living again. After months, Prime Meridian cam back with an offer of R2300, something about a 80/20 settlement, where they deduct 20% of their damage from an under valued estimate, where they deduct 30% of his salvage cost, and then 80% of that they offer as settlement. How does this help my driver after their client made the mistake, at least pay for the repairs of his bike, ***?!!!

Dear Henriek,

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention.

We often find that it is due to a high excess charged at a Third Party's own Insurer that causes them to claim elsewhere.

Please be assured that we have considered all the relevant circumstances and made a generous apportionment of your claim.

At PMD we offer our clients zero excess when they claim which means our clients are not inconvenienced by having to claim from a Third Party Insurer.

Nonetheless, our Third Party Claims Team have confirmed that they will be in contact with you to provide you with further clarity on the matter.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours.

Kind Regards,

The PMD Team
