HOSPITAL POLICY
Took out hospital insurance in 2013 and have been paying since then until July 2019 when I had to go into hospital for a heart procedure. I was in hospital for 4 days - from Sunday morning to Wednesday afternoon. When I took out my policy the conditions were that I had to stay in hospital for 2 days to qualify for payout and the payout would be R1 000.00 for each day spent in hospital.
When I submitted my claim they rejected it and said my hospital stay was too short to qualify for payout and the payout was adjusted to R250.00 per day if I had been paid. They claimed they sent me policy adjustments by email which I never received.
This company is cheating people. They will not pay for claims.
