Horrific Experience with PMD Insurance

I had an accident on 19 July 2025 and submitted my claim to PMD (Prime South Africa) on 21 July. The claim was approved within 48 hours which seemed great at first but this was done without any proper assessment of the damage. That quick approval turned out to be the start of a long nightmare.

It took PMD TWO MONTHS just to deliver the wrong parts to the repairer. After that, I waited another month for the correct parts, constantly calling and following up with no real feedback. Only the repairer was honest enough to tell me the truth my car was nowhere near ready.

In total, it took 3 months and 2 weeks to get my car back and even then, it was incomplete:

1.Missing mudflaps 2.One of my original mags and tyre not returned 3.Steering alignment not done

PMD claimed the car was “ready” — it clearly wasn't. When I got home, I contacted them immediately to report all the missing components.

Then, to make things worse, my spare wheel burst while driving — and I still don’t have my original tyre and mag back. I reported this on 22 October, and was told to “make a plan” to deliver my car back to the repairer. Excuse me? This issue is because of your delays!

I tried escalating this more than 10 times, and asked to speak to a manager or Matthews, who refused to speak to me — probably because he knows how badly this has been handled.

PMD has shown me nothing but:

Poor service No accountability Terrible communication Disrespect for paying clients

This is honestly the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. You will suffer, you will cry, and you’ll fight daily for answers.

should I also make it public that I was told to pay for my own Wheel alignment? or should I keep it to myself?? you guys are just a joke!!! how on earth would an insurance not do a wheel alignment after an accident? let alone that I was made to run around like a headless chicken to get my car fixed???
