Horrible claiming process

I had such a horrible experience with PMD.On the 17/09/23 I logged my claim in the app. The next day I called to check if my claim was processed, I was then told that claim process takes 10 to 15 working days. I submitted requested supporting documentation by Tuesday 19/09/23, a consultant called me to ask some questions for investigation purposes, every two days I called to get feedback on the claim but each time I called I was told about the 10 to 15 working days. On the 13th working day I called to find out what the status on the claim is and I was told that it’s still under investigation, I then told them that if I don’t receive any feedback by 3pm I am going to expose them on all social media platforms only then I received a call from the person who was busy with my investigation asking me the same questions she asked when she 1st called me.On the 12/10/23 my claim was approved with a excess of R14 200,excess breakdown R6200 standard excess which I full understand , Additional excess of R3700 for driving between 11am and 5pm also under because it’s stated on my policy schedule and this one got me very upset additional excess of R3700 for limited information , limited information being not having tracking device in the vehicle, no witness that time everything happened around 12:30am and 1-am where was I going to get witness?. I didn’t proceed with the claim because the panelbeater quote told up to R24 000 I have to pay excess fee of R14200 then they pay R9000 to the penal beater 🤔. Did a quote with my own Machanic and everything costs R7500 so I’m currently fixing my car from my own pocket.My friends who are currently insured with PMD will be cancelling ASAP!
