GUTTED AND DISGUSTED!!!

GUTTED AND DISGUSTED!!!

I'd like to share with the world my helluva experience with these PMD skelems!!

On Sept 13, 2018, I was involved in an accident where I bumped into a taxi which was stuck in the middle of a fast lane in a dark place with no street lights with no hazards or triangle whatsoever. The driver neglected the car and went to sit in a taxi on the far side of the road without taking into consideration what harm his taxi would cause at that time of the night.

After a two-and-a-half long wait of hostile interrogation from a lady called Demi-Jane, I was told this afternoon that my claim had been disapproved on the basis of untruthfulness, inconsistent versions received from people who who were on the scene at the time of the accident and afterwards. Demi-Jane also claims that I didn't reveal where I was coming from and even disputed my statements even after I sent her proof - email and call records.

Apparently, I was supposed to disclose how many times I stopped throughout my journey prior to my accident. How is that even relevant to a legitimate claim? If I stopped for 5 minutes at a garage in Florida, does that omit the fact that I was coming from Sandton? And am I wrong to omit that I stopped at some stage on my way back home from Sandton? I think that's *******.

I am waiting for a formal letter from PMD so that I can take them on. Who are they representing? The client or themselves?

And the formal letter says: "During the course of the insurer’s investigation into your claim it was revealed that you have misrepresented material facts surrounding the loss. Some of the insurer’s main concerns were as follows. The version of events submitted by you is contradicted by evidence obtained during the investigation into the incident. It is therefore the opinion of the insurer that you have not submitted accurate and truthful information." And I asked Demi-Jane which information was untruthful and which version was contradictory and she couldn't tell. What's more frustrating is that I was subjected to the kind of treatment I felt was unfair. From PMD losing accident photos to being requested my wife's call records and bank statements. What for? Was this a technique to determine if I **** about calling my wife using someone's phone from the accident scene? I wasted two full months waiting for PMD to make a decision and yet they can't even tell which statements were untruthful? I am challenging PMD to open a ******** case against me as stipulated in their policy if I **** about anything and produce proof of their reasons for rejecting my claim and not this misinterpretation of material facts nonsense. Demi-Jane once said that the call records only show one tower near Sandton and nothing afterwards, but PMD has the audacity to tell me that I misrepresented the facts when they had one tower showing on my call records? How's is it my fault that the rest of the towers I passed didn't appear on the call records? PMD claimed at some stage that it found it suspicious that I didn't receive a single call from 6pm to late on the day of the accident even after I told them that I had received a call from the company I was going to in Sandton asking me how far I was because the seminar was about to start. They say I ****, according to their records. This is a sad day. And I'm not gonna allow this company to bully me like they did throughout the claim process.

Hi PMD, where is the detailed explanation from your so called 'dedicated Market Conduct Department' as promised? It's been a week now without hearing or receiving anything from you. Is this the way you operate? Take people's money and dump them to the dustbin when they hold you accountable? Your policy is very clear when it comes to what you pay and not pay for, and not even once did I give you a reason to doubt my honesty as to how the accident happened. A mere R69 7000 will make you lose millions I promise. Your reputation is on the line... Watch the space...
