Don't Buy Primemeridian Car Cover if you visit SADC Countries with your Car.

**Disappointed with Border Crossing Cover – PrimeMeridian Direct Insurance**

I regret to say that my recent experience with PrimeMeridian Direct Insurance, particularly regarding their border crossing cover for my vehicle, has left me quite dissatisfied.

While the company has been reliable in other areas of their service, the handling of coverage for cross-border travel within the SADC (Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana Namibia, etc) has been less than ideal and has fallen short of my expectations.

I initially chose PrimeMeridian Direct because of its reputation for affordability and comprehensive vehicle insurance options. For the most part, their services have been satisfactory. Signing up for the policy was straightforward, and the customer support team has been polite and responsive during previous interactions. However, when it came to extending my coverage for a trip across the border, the process and the coverage itself left much to be desired.

The processing of the Cross Border Letter was quick, but to my surprise, the cheap policy on the vehicle does not cover the vehicle beyond the borders of South Africa, including Lesotho and Swaziland. The first issue I encountered was the lack of clear communication regarding the terms and conditions of border crossing cover. When I contacted the customer service team to inquire, I found the information provided vague and inconsistent. Different representatives gave varying explanations of what the border cover entailed, leaving me confused and unsure about the extent of my coverage. It felt as though the company did not prioritize ensuring customers were well-informed about this aspect of their policies.

Another major disappointment was the limitations of the cover itself. Despite paying an additional premium for cross-border coverage, I discovered that it was riddled with exclusions and conditions that severely limited its usefulness. For example, the policy did not provide adequate protection for theft or damage while traveling outside the country, which I consider basic requirements for cross-border travel insurance. The lack of comprehensive coverage rendered the add-on almost pointless, and I was left feeling as though I had wasted my money.

To make matters worse, when I raised these concerns with the company, the response was underwhelming. While the customer service representatives were polite, they were unable to provide any meaningful solutions or address my dissatisfaction. It felt as though my feedback was not taken seriously, and no efforts were made to rectify the situation or offer a more suitable option for future trips.

In conclusion, my experience with PrimeMeridian Direct Insurance’s border crossing cover has been disappointing. While the company may excel in other areas, this particular aspect of their service needs significant improvement in terms of clarity, convenience, and comprehensiveness. I hope that PrimeMeridian Direct takes this feedback constructively and works towards providing a better experience for customers who rely on them for cross-border travel. For now, I am hesitant to recommend their services for anyone planning to take their vehicle across the border, and I am considering alternative insurers for more reliable coverage.
