Disappointed with Prime SA outcomes.... Join them at your own risk...
The insurance claim (- - - - - - -) for the 2014 HYUNDAI ELANTRA 1.8 GLS/EXECUTIVE was *declined* because the damage resulted from a mechanical/electrical fault (locked gear)
Is it by choice that the mechanical breakdown occurs and results to a vehicle damage? If my insurance declines such claim, who else is gonna fix the damages? Use Prime SA at your own risk and know that when something happens in your car, you are gonna stay for more than 3weeks waiting for the claim outcomes and only to find out that you are waiting for the rejection...

19 Mar 2026, 16:52Hello Mzuyanda S,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value all feedback as it helps us improve and better serve our clients.
Comprehensive car insurance is designed to cover sudden, unforeseen events, while damage that arises from gradual wear and tear, mechanical or electrical failure is generally excluded across the insurance industry. This means that where a mechanical or electrical fault causes damage, the claim outcome is guided by these terms and conditions.
We understand that the outcome of your claim was disappointing. However, your policy was app**** as we have led you to expect throughout the entire time you've been with us.
Nonetheless, our Market Conduct Team has been alerted to your query and is already investigating the matter on your behalf.
At Prime, we are proud to offer innovative features like our unique Reduce-to-Zero Excess benefit, which helps our clients save when it matters most.
Committed to resolving your concern with care.
Kind regards,
The Prime SA Team
