Diligent Payer - but no clear line of comms for claims!!

All they care about is getting your premium from your account (WHICH IS SO HIGH, MIGHT I ADD!!). I made a claim mid Aug to get my windscreen replaced because obviously I am insured and have been diligently paying for my insurance since I joined. I got a response fairly quickly and was told by their 3rd party supplier that it would cost almost 2K EXCESS to replace my windscreen using an OEE (NOT EVEN A HYUNDAI ORIGINAL BRAND)- this conversation was over the phone, no written invoice or anything which made me suspicious because obviously I am female. I told the supplier to give me time to raise the funds, of which my claim was then placed on hold until I got back to them to actually enquire why the excess was so high when I can get this done at a cash price of 3,5-4K at a glass company including fitment (I had done my homework)…I reported this to PMD and was told that I insisted that I wanted a Hyundai branded windscreen of which the 3rd party supplier actually told me that I was declined for and the amount they were giving me was for a general one (OEE). PMD promised me last week Wednesday that this would be rectified and I would get the correct excess quote from the 3rd party and they too were going to confirm it was correct before I pay. It is now Thursday, a week and a day later - nobody has called me nor responded to my follow up mail on where we are with this claim. I NOW BELIEVE WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT PMD BEING PAINFUL WITH CLAIMS!! The waiting and non communication is truly frustrating and I am shopping for another insurer honestly!!!
