Creating high hopes and then cutting them down!

Firstly I would like to say the consultant who called was very nice and we had a good chat. However, I was told that they will be able to provide me with a better premium. I was asked what my current premium is which I provided and the response was wow that is quite high, which it is yes hence the request for a better quote. After answering all the questions with no problems I get offered a premium with confidence and what I could only explain as joy from the consultant. This premium that was so happily provided was higher than what I am currently paying. Perhaps you shouldn't make comments on how high the insurance one is currently paying when you offer an even higher premium. What does that say about the premium that you are offering then? I have had insurance for the last 3 and a half years with no claims. I am 30 years old with a great credit score, never been refused insurance and had my licence for 12 years!
