Covid-19 No Assistance
I currently have car insurance with PMD, and im self employed, now with the covid-19 and lockdown, im suffering a loss of income, i called PMD for a payment holiday end of April 2020, i called for assistance, i get told that its not their problem and i will pay my premiums monthly, they said they can cancel my policy and then i wont be covered.. i think if this is the way customers get treated i think i will rather go to another insurance company that offers a payment freeze and actually care about their customers in this pandemic situation

03 Apr 2020, 11:51Dear Johan G,
Thank you for your post. We can assure you that we are truly empathetic as we understand that this is a trying time.
At PMD we pride ourselves in providing world-class service and providing fair treatment for the benefit of all of our policyholders.
A review of the relevant calls confirms that our staff was professional and eager to offer you assistance on your cover.
We are delighted that we could provide an equitable resolution for you to still enjoy cover.
Unlike with many other insurers, with PMD the excess payable when you claim under comprehensive cover reduces to absolute zero - and in a remarkably short period of time.
Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.
Kind regards,
The PMD Team
