Covers drivers from 19 years. Apparently NOT!
To whom ever is certain enough to take this on.<br> <br> I completed an online quotation for vehicle insurance with Prime Media (PRIME MOTOR THRIFT)<br> an impressive R485.15 was generated for 100% cover of trade price in the event of complete loss. Geez was I excited!! This was absolutely better than what most competitors where able to offer!<br> <br> The below tells you how I was mislead.<br> <br> 1stly. Siphosetu (Agent) mentioned that the detials I provided on the online quote were not reflecting, so she had to recapture them in order to process my request. (I am still calm)<br> 2ndly. R485.15 has now turned into a high premium with added benefits. So I nicely instructed her to remove the extra's because I think I have enough of them through other policies. <br> 3rdly. Even after the bells and whistles where removed, the premium was still much higher, about R800 if I am not mistaken.<br> - I was then told that it was because I was under 25!!!! (Now I'm losing it)<br> - I disputed this with the (agent) until she referred me to her (Manager) Juanita who was unable to give me a solution, and made it clear that she could not do anything about it.<br> Lastly. I ask myself if it is still worth it to be your client?<br> <br> Kgomotso

Through our investigation into your concern, it is apparent that that this can be attributed to a simple miscommunication as we do in fact proudly provide cover to all drivers over the age of 19 with a valid drivers license older than 12 months.
Drivers under the age of 25 years do however pay a slightly higher premium due to the respective risk. However rest assured that your policy, like all our policies would be excess free.
A review of our records indicate that both Siphosetsu and Juanita from our Call Centre did further explain this to you and provided you with the lowest possible quotation for a person under the age of 25 years old.
Whilst we might not meet your financial needs now, we would however like to invite you to contact us again in October when you turn 25 for a lower quotation.
