<p>On the 5th of may I took my car for service and I was advised that I drove into a pothole and broke the right rear arm and it broke the brake fluid pipe, I was then advised to call my insurance (pmd)which I've been with since 2014 and I did and spoke to one of the consultant, which advised me that I am not covered for machenical damaged,which left me very confused,i mean if they don't cover for machenical damegeds....then what do they cover for?when I took the insurance I also took small accident cover separately.then the following day 06/05/2016 I called to cancel the insurance,the consultant I spoke to on this day then tried to retain me as a client he then advised that I have r40k of savings for small claims....i then requested him to processes my claim,as I was only quoted for r9359 by mazda and again I was told it doesn't cover machenical damages.they are insisting it covers small accidents but can not really tell me what do they refer to as small accidents, you response will bei highly appreciated. </p>

A review of your interaction with our staff members however revealed that the only enquiry received from you related to the replacement of the brake pads of your vehicle.
Whilst brake pads are regarded as a consumable item which degenerates with time, this is ordinarily covered by a service plan. As we do not have a vehicle service plan amongst our innovative motor vehicle accident and mechanical warranty products, your policy does not make provision for the replacement thereof.
You might however be pleased to know that we do however provide cover in the event of a mechanical breakdown of a vehicle with our Mechanical Warranty product.
