Claim rejected
My claim was rejected by PMD after paying them 3,8 years. Was involved in a car accident where there were no roads markings, traffic lights. This insurance company is very unfair.

28 Jan 2026, 09:39Hello Bongani K,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We know how upsetting it can be when a claim on your car doesn’t work out the way you expected, especially after being insured for a long time.
At Prime, we carefully investigate all claims using independent evidence to ensure a fair and transparent outcome.
In this case, our records show that your claim was rejected because the assessment showed that there was a clear stop line at the intersection and expert evidence confirmed that your car did not stop or pause before entering the crossing. This falls under the specific behavioural exclusion for failing to adhere to visible road markings, which forms part of your policy terms.
Our Market Conduct team has reviewed your concern and is already engaging with you directly to ensure that you receive clear feedback on both the claim outcome and the release fees linked to your car.
Prime South Africa is dedicated to offering value-for-money insurance products paired with compassionate and professional service, ensuring peace of mind for all our clients.
Committed to resolving your concern with care.
Kind regards,
The Prime SA Team
