CL***

I was in an accident on the 01/04/2018, the third party driver drove into me at a Shell garage around 4am in the morning. I sent in video footage proving that it was not my fault and that indeed the third driver was at fault. They rep**** saying my claim was denied because I was intoxicated.

"1. OUTCOME OF CLAIM With reference to your claim lodged on 25 January 2018, we regret to advise that the Insurer is unable to admit your claim for reasons which include, but which are not limited to, the following: (Please note that the Insurer herewith reserves the right to rely in future on any further reasons or grounds as and when they may arise) 1. ******* or ******** behaviour ‐ Driving under the influence of alcohol: During the course of the Insurer’s investigation it was revealed that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the loss."

First of all this reply shows incompetence and laziness from whoever sent this email because the date is wrong and the number one thing that grates my **** is that they nor the police have proof of me being under the influence and if I was the police would have arrested me on the spot for DUI.

"2. Admittance of liability and payment to the third party in contravention of policy During our investigation it was revealed that you admitted guilt to the third party in respect of the claimed‐for loss. As a result the insurer has been prejudiced in its recovery against the third party."

Honestly guys how the hell are they going to believe what the third party says I told him? Even if I did is that enough proof for them to make a judgement that I was under the influence.

If I was under the influence and the police didn't do a breathalyzer or blood test it only means they failed to do their job and that would not have been my fault.

Please guys stay away from this cheap, ***********, useless ********. Cancel these guys. sies disgusted.

Dear Anathinel,

Thank you for raising your apprehension with us - we value all feedback that we receive from our policyholders as we strive to offer world class service to our clients.

Whilst it is true that the purpose of insurance is to protect one in the event of an accident, it is also true that such cover is only provided on condition that a driver keeps to the policy terms and conditions as well as the laws of the country.

One of our Market Conduct Professionals has already been in contact with you and will provide you with a further explanation regarding the outcome of your claim.

You may rest assured that your claim will not affect your premiums now or in the future as PMD guarantees NEVER to increase premiums – not ever.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.
